Festival Foods Builds a New Support Center to Strengthen Its Brand
Wednesday, January 19, 2011
Festival Foods is a culture-driven, people-centered organization, committed to five key values: Servant Leadership, Execution, Involvement, Caring for Others and Service. In order to support this culture, CEO and President of Festival Mark Skogen sought to expand and redesign his Support Center. To make this a reality, Mr. Skogen turned to Performa to plan and design their new facility.
By listening to Mr. Skogen's vision and immersing themselves into Festival's culture, Performa's team helped him create the mission for this Support Center: "To provide a comfortable, smart, efficient, cost effective work environment that can strengthen the Festival Foods brand."
There were many physical demands put on this facility in order to achieve this mission.
Performa engaged with the Festival team to study work flow patterns in their current facility and then inquired into a range of environments that would:
- achieve efficiency in the workflow patterns and collaboration of employees
- provide a comfortable, smart, efficient environment for employees
- be cost-effective yet functional
- have an aesthetic flare to excite creativity
- be able to foster interaction and collaboration for a dynamic work environment
- enhance the visitor experience
Because Performa's team invested the time to listen to stakeholders and engage with team members, the design encompassed all things brought to the table:
- Collaborative spaces like Team Conference Rooms, Training Rooms, and a Break room were
added
- An open office environment with natural lighting was created
- Offices were separated by extensive glass to maintain a collaborative nature yet still provide privacy
- A rich and bold interior was created with the collaboration of Interior Designer Teri Wallenfang
By using our "Listen. Engage. Design." method, Mr. Skogen and his staff can now work in a collaborative and inspiring environment to create innovations to keep their customers coming back.
